I believe agriculture is more than an industry—it is the backbone of Texas and the foundation of our nation.
Long before Washington existed, farmers and ranchers sustained this land through hard work, faith, and responsibility. They fed their families, their neighbors, and eventually the country. That legacy matters, and it deserves respect, not regulation that strangles it.
Texas farmers and ranchers should be able to do what they do best: work the land, raise livestock, and pass their way of life on to the next generation—without being crushed by unfair policies, overreach, or corporate interests that don’t understand rural America.
Fair Policies for the People Who Feed Us
I believe in fair policies that protect independent farmers and ranchers, not policies written to benefit multinational corporations or foreign competitors.
Too often, decisions are made by people who have never worked a field, fixed a fence, or depended on the weather to make a living. Those decisions drive up costs, limit flexibility, and push family operations out of business. That is unacceptable.
Texas agriculture needs common-sense policy—policy that respects property rights, rewards hard work, and keeps farmers competitive, not buried under paperwork.
Protecting Water Rights and Land Ownership
Water is life in Texas. Without it, nothing grows.
I believe water rights must be protected for landowners and rural communities. Farmers and ranchers understand conservation better than any bureaucrat—they live with the consequences of misuse every day. Decisions about Texas water should be made with Texans at the table, not dictated by distant agencies.
Land ownership matters too. When farmers lose control of their land, we all lose. Protecting private property rights is essential to protecting agriculture, food security, and freedom itself.
Rural Broadband and Economic Opportunity
Rural communities deserve the same opportunities as urban ones.
Reliable broadband is no longer a luxury—it’s essential for modern farming, education, healthcare, and small business growth. Farmers use technology for crop management, weather tracking, markets, and compliance. Rural kids need access to online learning. Rural businesses need connectivity to survive and grow.
Expanding rural broadband responsibly—without waste or political favoritism—is critical to keeping rural Texas strong and competitive.
Keeping Agriculture American
I believe American farmers and ranchers should feed America.
We should not depend on foreign supply chains for our food while pushing our own producers out of business. Food security is national security. Supporting Texas agriculture means supporting American independence, resilience, and common sense.
Standing With Rural Texas
Rural communities are built on faith, family, hard work, and accountability. They don’t ask for special treatment—just a fair shot and the freedom to live their values.
I believe rural Texas matters. I believe agriculture matters. And I believe that when we support the people who work the land, we strengthen our entire nation.
If you believe in Texas farmers and ranchers, if you believe in rural opportunity, and if you believe in protecting the backbone of this country—then let me walk with you.
