From the Field to Leadership

In 1998, I earned a Division 1 football scholarship along with my high school quarterback and lifelong friend, Tony Romo, who went on to play 13 years for the Dallas Cowboys—a friendship I cherish to this day.

Collegiate and semi-pro football taught me critical lessons in life: overcoming obstacles, facing challenges, and being refined by fire. It taught me how to raise up the level of play of each team member—to unite for a common goal: winning.

Those lessons shaped who I am today, and they're the same principles I'll bring to Congress.

Education & Achievement

Bachelor's Degree

Political Science, Sociology, and Spanish—completed in 3 years with honors while playing Division 1 football.

Master's Degree

Master of Public Administration (MPA). Selected as Student of the Year in 2001.

Family is at the center of everything I do. I cherish the time spent fishing with Kali and Brooks, and nothing makes me prouder than watching my daughter excel in her equestrian pursuits.
